EICR Testing

While not a requirement, it’s certainly recommended that all businesses run an Electrical Inspection Condition Report (EICR) periodically. BS 76719 suggests this should be once every 5 years, though visual inspections should be carried out far more often.

Essentially, an EICR test is a thorough inspection of your electrical system, looking deeper than the usual signs of blackened sockets and melted cabling to identify defects, shock hazards, fire risks and compliance with safety standards.
